Sabine Carter
Sabine Carter is the Creative Director, Website Developer, Facebook Administration and Photographer for Ecoville Townsville. She is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Ecoville website and social media communications (Facebook, E-list management).
Sabine is a creative entrepreneur with a green heart. She has studied visual communication and photography in Germany. She has a graphic design business, cartergraphicdesign and also creates artisan eco objects for Waste to Wonder. She, Neil and their three teenaged children moved from Essen, Germany and have been enjoying Townsville’s relaxed outdoorsy lifestyle since 2006. Sabine is passionate about the arts, photography and film, live music, good food and all things eco. She enjoys her life in the tropics, especially swimming in one of the surrounding creeks, walking through the rainforest or scuba diving out on the Great Barrier Reef. |
Sandy McCathie Sandy McCathie assists with content development and sponsorship coordination and is an administrator of the Ecoville Townsville facebook page.
Sandy McCathie hails from Adelaide and arrived in Townsivlle via Perth and the Pilbara, and recognises that her passion and calling in life is to promote awareness, understanding, and actions consistent with sustainability values in our personal, civic and business functions so as to create a peaceful, nurturing, fair, inclusive, equitable, healthy, safe, habitable and functioning planet and community. Sandy has lived in Townsville since 2003 and operated Ecosavvy since 2004. Sandy enjoys snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, holidaying in the tropics, gardening, healthy living, renovating homes with sustainability in mind, and being mother to her two young children. |

Neil Carter is president of Ecoville Townsville Inc. He is building up the Ecoville network, creates content for the Ecoville facebook page and helps getting partners and sponsors on board.
Neil is an architect with over 20 years experience in the international and domestic architectural markets. Neil has also been using his interest in passive design and energy and resource use reduction as a project manager at a renewable energy company, where he undertakes energy management appraisals and designs and implements renewable energy projects. Neil's true passion is music and he has played as a drummer in various bands. |
